Our Produce

Bill Chapman inspecting the Basil plants in the Greenhouse

We grow a diversity of produce throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons. The key places we manage our crops are in the greenhouse, the main garden area and our fields.

Our crops are grown without the use of chemicals or pesticides. Thick layers of chipped ramial wood provide an effective mulch and also weed suppressant. We enjoy experimenting with different and innovative ways of growing beautiful and tasty produce.

Where to Buy our Produce

Ferraro Foods in Trail and Rossland are excellent supporters of local producers and for the past 6 years they have purchased 1000s of pounds of our squash throughout the growing season. Ferraro Foods, Trail, welcomes weekly harvests of our basil from June to October.

We welcome visitors to the Farm during the growing season. In early October, we usually host our Pumpkin Patch. Visitors can choose their own pumpkins in the field from a wide selection of different pumpkin varieties.

The Kootenay Market grocery store in Castlegar

An independent, locally owned grocery store, Kootenay Market in Castlegar features a great selection of grocery items and fresh produce, including several varieties of our squash.
